Delete your Lagat account

You can close your Lagat account yourself, from inside the app. It takes three taps and happens straight away — there is nothing to request and nobody to wait for.

From the app

  1. Open Settings, at the end of the menu.
  2. Scroll to the Team section, right to the bottom, and tap Close my account.
  3. Read what it tells you, then confirm with Delete my account.

If you cannot open the app

Write to support@lagat.in from the number registered on the account, or tell us that number in the message. We will confirm it is you, delete the account, and write back when it is done — within 7 days, and usually the same day.

What is deleted

Deleted immediatelyWhat happens to it
Your name, mobile number and email Removed from our server permanently
Every site only you are on Deleted with everything in it — expenses, parties, workers, attendance, wages, hires
Photos and backups you uploaded Deleted from cloud storage
Your sign-in sessions Ended on every device

Two things that do not simply vanish

A site you share with other people is handed to another owner rather than deleted — destroying it would take their records with it. Anything left on such a site that referred to you, like an attendance day or a wage payment, keeps the day and the amount but no longer names you.

Invoices for anything you paid for are kept as long as Indian tax law requires, even after the account closes.

The books on your phone are yours

Closing your account does not touch what is stored on the phone itself. Lagat works without an account, so your ledger stays where it is and keeps working. To clear it too, uninstall the app, or use Android Settings → Apps → Lagat → Storage → Clear storage.
